We made it to Thanksgiving break! Woo hoo! It felt like a long time coming and the week before was not an easy one at school.
We watched Planes, Trains, and Automobiles on Tuesday night to start off break and since Stranger Things new episodes were coming out on Wednesday. The kids popped in to watch parts of the movie, but mostly it was just Scott and I this year. Wednesday, Sean had a dentist appointment and we let the boys skip their practices to just relax at home. We went to Bearded Lamb for their food truck, which was delicious burgers and fries and then came back and watched Episode 1 of Stranger Things.
Thanksgiving morning we put on the parade and Scott and I made our usual breakfast of cinnamon rolls, bacon, and scrambled eggs. I did the Turkey Burn ride on Peloton and got put together after to go to my parents. We watched the first half of the Lions game before heading over to their house and Sean drove us! Aunt Mary, Uncle Paul, and Uncle Ron all came for Thanksgiving dinner and it was very nice this year. We ate, played Uno, and ate some more.
The rest of our break was spent cleaning, doing laundry, watching more Stranger Things episodes, and enjoying the snow that came Saturday night into Sunday morning. Scott worked on his lights outside and has them done now. I went and saw Wicked For Good by myself. Overall, it was a relaxing week at home. We didn't leave much, but it was what we all needed.
Now the countdown is on for Christmas break! Only 3 weeks of school! We can do this...
