Our happy holidays!

Well, considering how our break started, we managed to have two days of family, friends, good food, church, and gifts!  And the best part was that we were all in good health!  No vomiting, better sleep, and an ear infection on the mend.  My Christmas wish was fulfilled!

Our Christmas Eve morning was a relaxing morning at home!  Hot chocolate and pancakes for breakfast, Home Alone on TV (yes, we watched it again!), and for once, it seemed like we had everything as ready as we could for the holidays.

Christmas Eve we spent with Scott's family, per tradition.  A feast made for 21 people and a new baby complete with our gift card exchange and everyone was feeling in the Christmas spirit!  The boys were decked out this year and all the kids managed to get along.  I'd say that's a success!

We got home late and put the kids to bed past 10pm.  It helped showing them the "Santa Tracker" on the TV thanks to AT&T!  Santa was right over us in Canada, so that lit a fire under their little bottoms to get in bed.  Scott and I played Mr. and Mrs. Claus and even remembered to munch on the cookies and carrots Sean left out.

And before we knew it, it was Christmas morning!  Without further explanation....

Somehow we managed to get the kids to put down the toys so we could enjoy the homemade apple pie french toast I made in the oven.  Then it was off to church!  After lunch and naps, it was time to head over to my parent's house for another round of Christmas celebrations!  My brother, sister-in-law, and her mother were all in town so it was another big group of us for dinner and gifts!

We had an amazing Christmas season this year and were so blessed to have all our loved ones home with us!  I can't believe how much we were spoiled with this year.  We've found a new spot for all the new toys and gear and the kids have really enjoyed just staying in and playing with all of it.  It looks like our Christmas vacation has turned around and with still a week left, we're bound to make the most of it!  Hopefully we all stay healthy!

Happy holidays!
