I kicked off this weekend with Prom Friday night at the Ford Convention Center next to Greenfield Village and the Henry Ford Museum. The food does not disappoint, the DJ was awesome, and the kids were dressed to impress! We had a blast - staff included (see photo booth picture below for proof).
Saturday was the start of swim classes and the first Farmer's Market in downtown Plymouth! There's something so exciting about the sights and smells of the Farmer's Markets. The fountain was up and running and the muffins were delicious. It was the first year Sean ate the entire muffin. I guess swim class made him hungry!
We took the boys to the library next door for some books for the week and headed home. Scott did some work around the yard, the boys played outside, and we grilled hamburgers for a picnic dinner on our deck. The night wouldn't have been complete without a bonfire and s'mores. Welcome summer!
This morning, we met up with Grandma and Grandpa for A Day Out With Thomas at Greenfield Village. Man, we hit the jackpot on weather. Two years ago we were bundled up in winter coats and hats. This year, shorts and t-shirts. It was amazing! We grabbed lunch at Buddy's in Dearborn before heading home.
The boys are napping, the laundry is going, and I'm off to sit in the sun and write a grocery list. I hate this part of the weekend...Sunday afternoons. I'm dreading the stress and the schedule of the week to come. But, it makes it so much better when it's 80 and sunny knowing that with Cinco de Mayo this week, it might actually be a fun one. Cheers to that!
