With this unusually warm weather in November, we've been enjoying all the fresh air and the mountain of leaves in our backyard. The kids have been wanting to play outside every day after school and we're rushing to eat so that we can salvage what little daylight we have left. It's absolutely depressing to see it dark out before 6pm. A sign that winter is on it's way...
See...even Evan is depressed about it being dark out.
Just kidding. He was upset because Sean pushed him. Story of my life these days with these two.
The boys had a blast helping with yard work last week. Who would have thought they would actually help? They helped rake leaves and bag them, put away the Halloween decorations outside, toss out the rotten pumpkins, and even sweep off the front porch. Big helpers! But, they definitely had some fun along the way.
Believe it or not, some leaves made it into the lawn bags. But, the kids enjoyed being inside the bags too. Goof balls...
But, my favorite part, was watching them jump into the big pile and ask to be buried in them. It yielded smiles like these.
Not too shabby for a week night.
