Detroit City FC

Sean's soccer coach told us about a clinic the Detroit City FC was offering over the summer, but none of the dates worked for us since we were traveling a lot.  She ended up picking the last session the end of September in Canton and we made a last minute decision to sign up the boys.  It was a Friday from 6-8pm at High Velocity and they would get a free t-shirt and two tickets to one of their home games.

Sean knew three other boys from his team going and Evan said he wanted to go too, even though he was probably the youngest there.  They did great!  They were up against some bigger kids, but they held their own.

The following evening we cashed in our free tickets and went out to Hamtramck for the game at 7:30pm.  It was a nice night and the game was so much fun!  They had food trucks and some local beers and ciders in cans to buy.  We bought a slice of pizza for the boys each and Scott and I split some pierogies even though we ate dinner at home before going.

It was a fun family night and Detroit City was victorious!  We didn't stay for the whole game, but we stayed long enough to see a few goals and the fun colored smoke!
