Farrand Color Run!

The end of September, the boys' school hosts a Color Run as their main fundraiser for the year.  The school crushed their goal in the final days leading up to the Color Run, which means they'll have money to improve the school and playground.  Last year they were able to get new furniture in the media center and a new STEM lab!

I hit the jackpot and ended up having work off Thursday and Friday that week because of a plumbing issue at my school, so I was able to attend the Color Run and see the boys!  It was a beautiful afternoon and it was nice that they were able to wear shorts and a t-shirt with the warmer temps.  Evan's class and the 1st graders went earlier in the afternoon.  Evan thought he was "too cool" to run so he had the typical Evan smirk on his face as he walked over the hurdles in front of the parents.

Sean's class and the 3rd graders went later in the afternoon so I had a block of time to just stand around and socialize with other parents.  Sean stuck with his buddies and ran with them the entire time.

It was a wonderful afternoon getting to see the boys on a day I typically wouldn't have been able to come.  Go Farrand Foxes!
