Welcome, Luna!

We've spent the past 6 months mourning the loss of Bailey and taking time to heal.  Not to mention that I knew I needed some time to be "dog-free" so we could travel and go where we wanted without having to worry about finding someone to care for her.  And thanks to COVID, we aren't going anywhere.  So, one day a few weeks ago, I suddenly just felt "ready" to get another dog.  And after looking online at all different types of dogs, we just both kept going back to pitties.

A few weeks of searching for the perfect pup and one of the first ones we had our eye on, we got the call that our application had been accepted to take home "Darla" from the Little Rascals litter that Lending a Helping Paw foster had.  We made arrangements to get her the next day in Beverly Hills at the Premiere Pet Supply store and the rest is history!

We are excited to welcome, Luna "S'mores" Ferstle to our family!  She was born on August 25th to a 10 month old Pit mix mommy who knew nothing about being a mother, let alone how to care for herself.  The LAHP foster rescued the mommy and the entire litter and worked to rehabilitate mom to let her puppies nurse.  Dad dog is an American Bully.  She's so adorable and weighs just shy of 14 lbs.  She's been quick to learn a few commands already and is working on being potty trained, crate trained overnight, and how to just be and play outside (she had never been outside prior to us getting her).  We can't wait to get her second round of vaccines so we can train her on the leash and let her be around other dogs!
