Mid-winter happenings!

March is around the corner and it feels like we're getting closer to spring weather and activities!  January felt like an eternity and February is moving, but not quickly enough in my opinion.  Since the holidays, Sean's wrestling has kept us busy every weekend, but we've had some other fun things in there too.  I made a vision board to set some goals and reminders for 2026:

My big goal is to do a pull up this year!  I'm determined!

I've been in my puzzle-building mode and completed a few good ones.  I've completed 3 so far.  Scott went to the puzzle swap at the library and got me some "new to me" 500 piece puzzles for this year.

With some snow and cold days, we played board games too.  We're always looking for indoor entertainment for the kids other than screens.

I had a great endocrinologist appointment and ultrasound that showed my TSH is the lowest it's been in a while and my nodule shrunk!  A celebratory bagel and tea from Panera helped before I went on to work and of course, a beer at Bearded Lamb helped too!  Scott's blood pressure went down too.  Look at us go!

Scott and I went to the Ice Festival by ourselves on a Friday after work.  This is the first year the kids didn't want to go and the first year without their picture on the ice throne, so Scott and I sat on it instead.

We celebrated Josh, Matt, and Scott's birthdays with a bowling outing in Farmington that was really fun!  We had dinner at the bowling alley and the food was surprisingly very good.

The Superbowl came and went so fast!  Scott made a ton of food all day long with homemade taquitos, mozzarella cheese sticks, sliders, and Superbowl dip.  We ate good!  And Bad Bunny's performance was so good!  I loved it!  We've also been watching a lot of the Olympics.  My former principal's daughter is on the Women's USA Hockey team and it's been fun watching them win!

Luna has been pretty miserable with these really cold temps for most of January.  She's happy that the sun has started to come out more and that the snow melted this week.  We bought her boots to wear in the snow and she's not a huge fan.  We had June over for the day over mid-winter break so that cheered her up!

We celebrated Valentine's Day with the boys at home since it was on a Saturday this year.  The boys each got some candy and some cash.  We did our usual pizza and chocolate fondue for dinner and watched a movie.  It was a pretty low-key evening since Sean had a wrestling tournament that morning and Evan had a baseball tournament the next two days.

Scott's finishing his week off for mid-winter break and now the countdown is on for spring break.  Even though we had no major plans, we're looking forward to warmer weather and baseball!
