Sean's Freshman Wrestling - January

January has been packed with wrestling for Sean, including tournaments over holiday break.  He's had a meet every Wednesday and a tournament every Saturday (some JV, some Varsity).  His team is definitely young and small so that has affected team scores.  There are several freshman wrestling, including Sean, filling weight classes so we don't void so many of them, but it's tough with the freshman going up against Varsity opponents on larger teams that are seniors and juniors with more experience.  Sean has tried to keep his head up amidst the losses and he's had some wins in there too.  His record right now is 11-19 for the season.  

Here's some highlights from January:

Sean has a Varsity tournament Saturday in Livonia and then he's one of two freshman his coach has asked to do districts.  So, I think he's feeling good about being invited to that and getting the experience.  Him and his coach have big goals for him next week and during the off-season.  Two weeks left and it's crazy to think his freshman year will be over for wrestling!  We're proud of how hard he's worked this season.
