Happy 24 Months, Sean!

Well, the BabyCenter emails now say "Your Preschooler This Week" instead of your toddler.  It seems so strange, yet just right.  Like when we're driving to daycare and I realize I'm having a full blown conversation with my son in the backseat about what he sees out the window and what he's going to do at school that day.

Two amazing years have gone by.  And here's our beautiful boy:

Favorite Toys/Activities:
  • Bubble Guppies.  Whoever made this show is a genius.  It's like toddler crack.  He won't even talk to me or make eye contact while the show is on.
  • Construction trucks!  It was just a matter of time that his love for cars and trucks now include a love for construction trucks.  And he can even say the words for the excavator, dump truck, crane, and backhoe that he pronounces "backahoe".
  • Halloween!  My mom got him two books recently about Halloween.  One of them is an Elmo book about trick or treating that has buttons that make sounds on the side and the other is a special book by a Michigan author that's really cute.  So, naturally, he's only talking about skeletons, monsters, bats, and pumpkins lately.
  • Scary monsters!  Speaking of Halloween, since we put our decor up, he feels the need to tell us he's "afraid" of the "two monsters" in our yard.  Maybe we shouldn't be putting these up for a few years....

  • Baby Evan!  He is obsessed with his little brother.  Sometimes that's a good thing and other times not so much.  "Baby Evan awake", "Baby Evan crying", "Hi baby Evan, hi!" are the phrases we hear constantly.  He shares his toys, his blankeys, and always wants to get out the designated tummy time blanket.  It's kind of cute.

Favorite Foods:
  • Ice cream!
  • Raw apples and pears (I finally don't have to cook them)!
  • Green beans!
  • Hummus and Pita!
  • Turkey roll-up sandwiches!
  • Dipping things in ranch!

Stats:
  • 24 Month clothes and sometimes 2T, although the pants are way too long.
  • Size 5.5 shoes.
  • Size 4 diaper, but we're working on potty training.  He'll go pee when we ask him to go on the potty, but he won't tell us yet.  It's a work in progress...
  • 25 lbs. 8 oz.
  • 33" tall.
  • Napping after lunch for 2 hours usually.

And now...some photos!
