We had a wonderful day! Thanks to my mom taking a vacation day at work we were able to take both boys to the zoo in the morning and out to lunch before Sean needed to be home for a nap! And it was beautiful. The colors of the trees at the zoo were gorgeous, it wasn't busy at all, the temperature was so comfortable, and both boys had a great time during the outing!
After opening gifts, it was time for dinner. I made one of my freezer meals, a homemade mac and cheese (of course I couldn't partake) and made some Trader Joe's chicken strips, and broccoli. A meal Sean loves!
Then it was cake and singing Happy Birthday time! My mom picked up a mini ice cream cake from Coldstone that was the perfect size to split amongst Sean, my mom, Scott, and even a slice for Sydney.
I know Sean had a great day and I'm so glad I was still able to do all these fun things with him despite having my hands full with Evan (thanks mom!). His birthday party is in less then two weeks and I'm getting excited thinking about all the fun he'll have on that day too!
His two-year well visit is tomorrow so I'll post my usual monthly blog about his stats and favorites tomorrow!
Happy birthday, Sean! We love you to the moon and back!
