November leaves!

We had a pretty fun weekend, while being productive at the same time!  It left me feeling refreshed, organized, and ready to tackle the last full week before Thanksgiving break.  We're so close to being done with the hardest and longest part of the school year.  I can almost taste that turkey!

Friday evening we picked up my van from the body shop.  It was finally repaired!  The boys had their fall festival at their school that started at 6:30pm, so we whipped up some dinner quickly and rushed off to Farrand.  They usually do this fall festival in October so the kids can all wear their Halloween costumes, but they moved it to November this year.  I have to admit, I liked it better in October.  But, it was still a fun night!  I contributed cupcakes for the cake walk.  Sean was thrilled to see me make some of them look like the poop emoji!  We only stayed an hour because it was too crowded and we were all exhausted from a long week.  The boys did the cake walk (Evan won), played some fun games, danced in the gym with the DJ, had donuts and cider, and used the photo booth.

Saturday morning was the first Saturday since school started that we didn't have anywhere we needed to be until later in the afternoon.  We stayed in our pajamas, made a nice breakfast (a german pancake for my first time), and worked on laundry and a grocery list.  Scott worked on getting the outdoor furniture cleaned up and put away.  By 10:00am, the boys wanted to join him outside and clean up leaves.  They all seemed to fall off the tree over the last week.

It was freezing outside, but bundled up the boys enjoyed jumping in the leaves and playing in the backyard.  I helped clean up the leaves while trying to snap pictures until it was too cold for me.

After lunch, Sean had a playdate over at his cousin, Adelaide's house.  Evan invited our neighbor, Nevaeh over to play.  So, I took the opportunity to go for a run and take a shower.

I picked up Sean and we ran some errands in downtown Plymouth.  I dropped off my snowboarding boots to Sun and Snow for their swap next weekend and we ran into Sean's old swim teacher, Grant!  Small world.  Sean helped me pick out a gift for his aunt, Jackie at this cute little shop and I found my new favorite Bacardi glass.  Win!

Then it was time to go to Andy's birthday party at Goldfish Swim School in Farmington.  It was a fun party!  Some kids from Sean's soccer team were there.  Sean insisted on wearing a life jacket even though he knows how to swim.  I guess he's a bit on the short side and still can't touch the bottom.  Come on kid, grow!  There was pizza, fruit, and veggies for dinner with cupcakes for dessert.  The boys came home with Pokemon goody bags and a new found appreciation for collecting Pokemon cards.  Great...

Sunday was another relaxing morning.  I felt guilty for not going to church, but the boys got all their homework done (took some time with Evan's project) and made their Christmas wish-lists looking through all the toy catalogs.  Scott finished all his outdoor clean-up and put it all in the garage.  We went out to lunch at Red Olive and came home in time to meet Nana and Pops' new puppy as they picked up Nana's car I was borrowing while mine was at the shop.  She's such a cute puppy!

I went to see Bad Mom's Christmas with Jackie late afternoon, while Scott was watching football.  The boys had some down time too with iPads.  Then, it was homemade chili for dinner and bedtime already.  The weekend flew by!  Scott and I watched Stranger Things for a bit and enjoyed a quiet evening before this hectic week started.
