Coronavirus Quarantine Week 11

After a fun, at home Memorial Weekend, Tuesday was back to online learning and work requirements.  Since the weather continued to be fabulous, I told the boys to do 2 assignments in the morning so we could go to the beach.  Sean had a Webex call with his class at 10 and once it wrapped up, we hit the road!  We decided to try out Brighton State Park's beach and were there by 11:30am.  It wasn't crowded initially, so we grabbed a good spot and the boys went right to playing in the water!

Scott did his work call from the beach and we ate our picnic lunch.  But, by 2pm, it was starting to get too crowded for our liking, so we packed up and went home.  I had a staff meeting Zoom call at 3pm so it worked out that we were home for that.

Wednesday we decided to slow down a bit.  We got back into our online school/work routine and chores.  Sean learned how to fold beach towels!

It was Jameson's birthday next door so the boys enjoyed a water balloon fight late afternoon while I did a workout in the garage.  Man, was it hot!  I made a broccoli quiche for dinner and I got wined!

Thursday was pretty slow and uneventful.  Sean wrote more poetry for school about Chicago while Evan did his assignments on Seesaw researching the Great White Shark.  I tried the new Soft Parade Seltzer.  It's not my favorite, but it wasn't bad!

Friday the boy finished their school work and had a kareoke party in the living room after lunch.  It was actually pretty fun!  We got Lee's Famous Chicken for carry out and ate on the patio.  We enjoyed some drinks outside with the neighbors.  We all pooled what limited fireworks we had from previous years together so the kids could do sparklers, pop its, and a few that Scott and Tim lit in the street like fountains.  Glad another week of school and work was over and that we were one week closer to the stay home order getting lifted!
