Man, it's hard to believe it's September. Where did this year go? Where did the summer go? But, here we are. Off to school. Both boys off to middle school.
Sean's in 8th grade this year and his last year at East before going to Canton High School. He's got the typical classes plus Spanish 2 and Math Strategies (a second math class that will be a support class for him). He officially quit band and is looking forward to taking LME as an elective second semester. He's playing tackle football with West Catholic this fall and it's been quite the commitment for him. He plans to wrestle again in March with East when that season starts.
Evan is in 6th grade with the typical classes and has band and PE as his two electives. Band is off to a slow start because the school has been under construction so they are just now picking instruments. It sounds like he wants to play trumpet. He's busy with his fall rec baseball team, the Rangers. In fact, in their first game of the season, with his new bat, he hit his first in-park home run and earned the game ball!
Scott started year 20 in Southfield, with an unexpected 3 days off because of heat and a power outage. I started year 19 in South Redford with a new bell schedule, new grading scale, and all upper level classes. It's going to be a great year!
