Sean's spring soccer and his field trip to Geer School
Another season with the Plymouth Panthers and as you can see in the picture above, Sean is still one of the youngest and smallest on the team. But, that's okay! Last season, in the fall, their team moved up to House Level and started to play against other cities. None of the teams were ranked. After the results from the fall, his team was put in Division 1 and we've been up against the hardest teams around.
It's been a tough season so far with rainy weather, cancellations, and loses. But, last week they played against Brighton (the only team that beat them in the fall) and our boys kicked butt! They gelled as a team, they communicated, and they dominated!
In fact, Sean scored his first goal on this team! It's been a long year and a half with him playing forward and not getting any goals, but the boys on these other teams that are mostly in 3rd grade can outrun him. He was so excited to score and we are so proud of him!
It was an exciting game and good to see our boys back in action! Evan enjoyed playing in the mud the whole time...
In other Sean related news, his class finished up their unit on the past and the prairie and went to the Geer School that's been around since the 1800's in Plymouth. They had to dress the part and pack a lunch similar to one someone would eat from that time period. They held their morning class at the school and then bused back to Farrand for gym in the afternoon. Sean had a great time and I was able to pop in during their lunch break at the school to see them all!
Can't believe these kiddos are about to wrap up 2nd grade and move on to 3rd!
