Evan's Real Life Farm field trip, Donuts with Dad, and sports updates!

Whew - it's definitely the end of the school year!  The time when we have nonstop activities, events, and things to do for their classes.  Evan has had a very busy two weeks in Kindergarten!  They went on their Real Life Farm field trip on Thursday, May 30th.  Scott got to be a chaperone this year since I was out of days at work and they had a great time!  It was rainy and cool that morning, but the rain stopped and most of the field trip was covered, so the only issue was dealing with mud.

Scott was in charge of Evan and Octavian for the field trip and they got to ride a horse, go for a tractor ride, feed baby goats, and milk a cow.

Evan went on this field trip last year with Grandma in Young 5's, so he knew what to expect, but he still had a great time.

He came home and told me right away that he was sorry, but he held a cat.  Sweet Evan was worried about my allergies since he held a cat.  Cutie!

Yesterday, Evan celebrated Father's Day in his classroom with Donuts for Dudes.  He said, "My daddy is the best at making things."  His drawing was so cute and he had a lot of great things to say about Scott.  Mrs. Ropert does such a nice job with these events!

Soccer wrapped up this past weekend and the Fire Snakes did a great job this season!  Evan claims he doesn't want daddy as his coach anymore, but Scott will be returning in the fall to coach again.

And he got his first hit at baseball on Saturday!  It was a gorgeous afternoon for a ball game and his team seemed to really put together all the skills they've been learning.  They had so many great hits.  While he didn't make it to first base in time, it was still exciting to see him get the timing right on his swing.  This pitching machine is not easy!

I'm loving watching Evan flourish and find his own with sports and academics.  Go, Evan!
