Farrand Carnival

A few weeks ago the boys' school had their annual end of the school year carnival!  We've always loved this event and they do such a nice job thinking of all the games, activities, raffles, and food!  This year we made a quick dinner of homemade pizza before heading over to Farrand right when it started.  The weather was perfect...warm and sunny!

The boys immediately wanted to play in the inflatables.  It wasn't long before they ran into their friends and the rest of the night felt like we were trying to keep an eye as them as they ran from one thing to the next.

As usual they had their game to win goldfish and both boys, after several attempts, brought a fish home.  They hit up the sno-cones to cool off and then Evan wanted to do the trike race against one of the teachers.  He couldn't reach the pedals completely so a volunteer pushed him around the track.  It was cute, but we missed the dunk tank this year that the trikes races replaced.

Both boys won on the pop walk too so we had our hands full with bags of fish and 2 liters of pop.  Scott ran the pop to the car and then it was time to head in the cafeteria for the raffle drawings.  Last year we won a huge sports basket so we weren't anticipating being lucky again this year.  But, I won a 10 ride package to Cyclebar!  I'm seriously so pumped to be back at Cyclebar this summer!  I love that place so much, but it's so darn expensive.

Both fish made it until Sunday night/Monday morning before they croaked...we tried.  But, the boys didn't seem to mind too much.  It was another fun night at their school and with their friends!  Now it really feels like summer vacation is right around the corner.
