We had a weekend off of baseball tournaments for Mother's Day weekend, but Sean still had a soccer practice and game. We also somehow filled our weekend full of celebrating with both moms and for me. Friday I took both boys to Sean's practice and Evan and I went to go visit baby Niko and Luka. Evan fed Niko a bottle and loved playing with Luka for an hour or so. After practice we stopped at the Plymouth Depot for an East fundraiser and got some ice cream. We came home and had a bonfire with the neighbors, which was fun!
Saturday morning we got up and went to the Farmers Market before Sean's soccer game. Unfortunately the muffin booth wasn't there so we had to walk down to Westborn Market to get muffins from their little bakery area so the kids would have had something to eat. Sean's game was awesome! Both sets of parents came and Sean scored 2 goals and almost a third! We are so proud of how much he's improved this season.
We had an hour to get home, change, and eat Subway for lunch before meeting up with Scott's parents for 18 holes at Fox Hills and dinner. Evan had a rough time transitioning from all the activities, but we pulled it together. The kids did great golfing! It sprinkled for a bit, but I enjoyed sitting on the golf cart, reading. After golf we went to Hermann's for dinner, where Evan struggled again with being at a noisy, busy restaurant. He had a nosebleed at the end too so it was definitely time to go home. We worked on the hotel signs for his tournament and the goody bags and watched a movie.
Sunday morning I got up and enjoyed some gifts Evan made me at school. It was the first Mother's Day that I didn't get breakfast in bed in years because we had brunch plans with my parents at the Sardine Room in Plymouth. Thankfully they were second in line for when it opened and we got a table. We planned to go right from brunch to the Tiger's game. My parents bought me movie gift cards and a small Ariel doll so I can go see The Little Mermaid live action movie coming out. It was nice!
