Seriously. We blinked and June was over. I want it back!
We survived the end of the school year. Barely. I had a sinus infection that kicked my butt and required an antibiotic and a day off on the last full week of the school year. Sean did his first football camp of the new season before school even let out. He rocked his finals (minus math) and finished his freshman year. Evan bleached his hair, not once, but twice.
Evan and I went to the Forrest Frank concert at LCA and it was awesome! He put on a good show and it was fun to have a night just us.
And then it was just getting settled into the summer routine. Sean is cutting the grass this summer for chore money. I've been reading as much as possible. We're trying to stay cool with the hot temps. We celebrated Father's Day with baseball, Mexican food, and cleaning Scott's truck.
Sean went to wrestling camp with some teammates from Canton at University of Olivet for 2 nights. I drove him out there early Monday morning and Scott and I went to pick him up Wednesday evening. He slept in the dorms with Hunter. He said it was fun, but man was he grumpy when we picked him up. He needed a good meal, a hot shower, and his own bed.
Evan's been busy with the tournaments on his baseball team, but he's also been going to tryouts at various organizations. I'm happy to report that he's made all the teams he's tried out for with the exception of Northville. He tried out for them this Monday, but we haven't heard back.
We were also able to get a Tiger's game in, finally! They played the Astros on a Friday evening and they had the best giveaway - a tiki cup! We had a great time and the Tiger's won. The boys even took part in the "Tarps off" trend with a bunch of guys. It was hilarious!
Summer is off to a great start! Can't believe how much the boys have grown up and how our summer traditions from years past have changed as they're teens now.
