We're making progress here...

About two weeks ago, I posted about me suddenly feeling inadequate and unprepared for baby numero dos.  See here for more information:  "I'm Freaking Out...Man" .  Apparently, not having a new diaper bag that will hold everything but the kitchen sink and not making leeway with Scott on newborn photography was the end of the world at the time.  But, since then I'm pretty excited that some of my rants on that post can officially be checked off the list.

  • New changing pad for downstairs.....CHECK!
  • New changing pad covers for both downstairs and upstairs....CHECK!!  (And bought on clearance!)
  • Baby Bedding....still needs to be done.  But, I'm dragging my heels because I'm going to Birch Run with my mom on the 19th and I'm hoping that they have what I'm looking for at the Pottery Barn Kids Outlet.  Here's the quilt my mom bought us that we're basing the bedding off of:

  • Repainting the baby room....haven't even brought that up with Scott.  Although, he read my post and said, "Yeah, I'm not painting that room."  So, we'll see what kind of magic powers I possess.
  • New diaper bag.....CHECK!!  Thanks to someone posting on thebump.com  about Vera Bradley having a clearance on their diaper bags, I zoomed out to their website, ordered a gorgeous bag for only $50 instead of $99, and it arrived on my porch last week!  I'm stoked about this!  I checked out the ones listed on my post at Buy, Buy, Baby with the exception of the Coach bag and hated them all.  So, I really took a chance on the Vera Bradley bag.  But, I tried it out last weekend when we went downtown for the Green Street Fair and it was awesome!  It even held my DSLR camera along with all of Sean's things.
See it in action:  It actually fits in the bottom compartment of Sean's stroller.  It's a MIRACLE!!

My mom and dad sent me a Mother's Day gift of a Vera Bradley wristlet to hold my credit cards, driver's license, cash, and cell phone, along with a change purse that both match the baby bag.  Now, I'm all set!  Bye bye purse!  Hello diaper bag!

  • Newborn photography.....again, haven't brought it up to Scott yet.  I have to take baby steps with these things.  The diaper bag and changing table accessories were enough for two weeks.
  • Matching Big Brother/Little Brother shirts.  I've added this to the list.  And I've picked them out on Etsy, just need to order them.

Well, that's enough for one night.  I feel like we're making progress...slowly, but surely.  Anything else I'm missing?
