31 and 32 Weeks BumpWatch!

31 Weeks:

How far along? 31 weeks, 3 days!

Weight gain/loss: Still at 28 lbs. like last week.  At least I didn't gain anything...

Feeling: Trying to recover from Sean being sick and getting ready for Chicago.  It's been a crazy couple of weeks around here and I'm looking forward to getting away for a few days.  I'm hoping my body can handle all the travel and walking around.

Sleep: Sean has been back to his usual sleep schedule, which means I'm back to my usual sleep schedule too!  Thank God!

Food cravings: Desserts.  Chocolate.  Sweets.  Cookies.  Did I mention chocolate?

Movement? Baby Evan is starting to make some sleep patterns here because I'm noticing a trend with when he's most active.  And I'm glad to say it's not at 3am...or to my knowledge.

What I miss? Beer!  I want one so bad I can almost taste it.

Best moment this week: We had a good friend's surprise birthday party Saturday night and it was nice to get out for a couple of hours and socialize with some old friends.  We came over to my parents' house the next morning to pick up Sean and had a yummy breakfast from the Original House of Pancakes.  Delish!

What I'm looking forward to: Chicago with Sean!  It will be his first vacation and I'm excited to see how he does with traveling and exploring the city.

Next Appointment: Thursday, July 26th at 10:50am with Dr. Long.

Milestones: Evan is weighing the same as four navel oranges right now or 3.3 lbs.  He can turn his head from side to side and is busy gaining weight in his limbs and body right now.

32 Weeks:

How far along? 32 weeks on the dot!  It's not my usual chalkboard picture, but I liked this one from Shedd Aquarium in Chicago and thought it showed off my massive bump appropriately.

Weight gain/loss: I'm afraid to step on the scale after eating in Chicago, but I'm hoping I'm still at 28 lbs. since we did a ton of walking.  We'll see on Thursday at my appointment...

Feeling: I'm definitely slowing down.  Between the pelvic bone pain on my right side and random pain in my left foot (yes, the one I broke while I was pregnant with Sean), I'm realizing that I need to rest more.  Yeah right...

Sleep: Sean's sleep schedule is off again because of his lack of naps in Chicago, so I've been up once a night with him.  And when I finally lay down to go to bed I'm suddenly making to-do lists on my phone for a half hour so my brain will shut off.

Food cravings: Toasted peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.  Colby-Jack cheese cubes with Almond Crisp crackers.  Yum!  At least it's healthy!

Movement? I was getting worried in Chicago that I wasn't feeling him enough, but he's reassured me since we got back that all is well with his constant moving.

What I miss? Shirts that were long enough.  I'm starting to out-grow my maternity clothes.  That can't be good...

Best moment this week: Just being in Chicago with my family and seeing some old friends from my Spain trip!  Sean had an absolute blast in Chicago and I'm convinced he should live in the big city since he's obsessed with transportation vehicles.  That sure was the place for that.

What I'm looking forward to: The nursery is almost done!  We got the wall quote on the wall and now Scott just has to help me hang up a bookshelf, an accordion clothes rack, and Evan's name letters and we are good to go.

Next Appointment: This Thursday, the 26th at 10:50am with Dr. Long.

Milestones: Evan has toenails, fingernails, and real hair!  His skin is becoming more soft for life on the outside world.  And he's gaining about a third to half of what his birth weight will be from this point on.  Meaning that I will be gaining 1 lb. a week from here on out so that half of that will be going to him.  Joy...
