A Ninja Warrior Birthday Party for Sean and Evan

Two weekends ago we did a joint birthday party for Sean and Evan at Athletika in Livonia with 15 of their friends.  It ended up being a pretty chaotic weekend with my Grandma's funeral on Friday, my brother and sister-in-law in town Saturday, and then the party on Sunday with Scott's family over after, but we made it work and the party was so much fun!

The boys agreed upon a Lego theme for the party so I picked up some cupcakes at Kroger and added some Lego hard candies from Amazon on top.  The boys helped stuff the goody bags with Lego glasses, a few bricks, a Kinder surprise egg, and some chocolate Pandas from Costco.  Other than that, each kid got an applesauce pouch and a bag of goldfish for a snack.  We brought a cooler of Gatorade, waters, and juice boxes and we were good to go!  It was a very easy party to do.

The first 45 minutes were in the gym doing the obstacle course.  Both boys were able to do the warped wall for the first time!!  It was very exciting for them.

Then everyone went back to the party room for their snack and cupcake.  We initially planned to have the boys wait on opening their gifts until we got home, but there was enough time so we did our best to keep it organized and orderly.

The last 40 minutes of the party was spent in the back of the gym where the kids got to play Nerf war!  It was so much fun, although it was very hot!  The gym didn't have air...

The kids had a great time and we really appreciate everyone coming out and spending their Sunday afternoon with us!  I'm really happy we chose to have the party at Athletika!

After, we went home and got ready to host Scott's family over to celebrate Evan.  We ordered pizza from Main Street, Nana brought an ice cream cake, and the guys all watched the Lion's game.  The kids were just excited to start building Legos and open their new gifts.  I was exhausted when it was all over, but I'm glad we were able to celebrate together.
